Administration, Guidance, and Staff

Chris Williams, Ed.S.
Head of School
Mr. Williams is a Christ follower, and finds sincere joy in educating and planting seeds for the Gospel of Christ. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University, a Master's of Art in Teaching from Alcorn State University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. Mr. Williams has been in education for 15 years, and he has been an administrator for 10 years. Mr. Williams also serves as Associate Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church of Vicksburg, MS. He is married to Jennifer and has sons, Bridges and Brantly.

Austin Crabtree, M.Ed.
Assistant Administrator
Mr. Crabtree is a 2014 alumnus of PCA, and he teaches Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra II, Honors Probability and Statistics and Algebra III. Mr. Crabtree also serves as an Assistant Administrator. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College, a Master of Education in Education Leadership from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership/Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as Organist of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.

Frances Warren, M.Eng.
Assistant Administrator
Mrs. Warren teaches Chemistry I and II, Honors Algebra II, ACT Prep, Physics, and Calculus. She also serves as an assistant administrator. She is a graduate from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Engineering, and she also holds Administration Certification from Delta State University. She began teaching at PCA in 2001. Her three children are PCA alumni, and she is married to Terry. She has two daughter-in-laws and three granddaughters.

Nancy McClain, M.Ed.
Guidance Counselor
Mrs. McClain serves as Guidance Counselor, and she has over 36 years of experience in education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education in Guidance Counseling from Mississippi College. Her husband, Mike, is an engineer, and they have been married for 36 years and have three children.

Blake Purvis, M.S.
Athletic Director/Head Football Coach
Mr. Purvis is a 2006 graduate of PCA, and he currently serves as Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Track/Field Coach, and Health Teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University, a Master of Science Degree from West Texas A&M, and is a graduate of the MAIS Leadership Institute. He began teaching/coaching at PCA in 2016. He is married to his wife, Shelby, and they have a daughter, Leighton Caroline, and a son, Elliott.

Kim Arias
Finance Director
Mrs. Arias is a 1991 graduate of Porter's Chapel, and she has served as Financial Director for 16 years. Mrs. Arias is married to Al, and they have two sons, Jake, who attends Mississippi State University, and Josh, who graduated from Porter's Chapel and Mississippi State University and is now a law student at the University of Mississippi.

Pam Reeves, B.S.
K5 Teacher
Mrs. Pam Reeves was born in Tylertown, MS and raised in Meridian and Jackson. Mrs. Reeves graduated college at age 49 in Wilmington, Delaware. She recently retired from the Vicksburg Warren School District in 2022, and happily came to PCA! Mrs. Reeves married her husband, Trey, in 1979, and they have two grown children, one grandson, and another grandchild on the way.


Myra Beard, B.S.
2nd Grade Teacher
Myra Beard is proud to call Vicksburg her home. She is a graduate from Warren Central High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi. She has been in the Education field for 20+ years as an assistant and a teacher. She is a member of Oakland Baptist Church where she grew up. She has served many positions in the church over the years. Myra is often found singing specials at Oakland. She knows God has placed her at Porter's Chapel so she can tell children about Christ. Education is important but Eternity is more important.

Betsy Westerfield, B.S.
5th/6th Grade Teacher
Mrs. Westerfield has been teaching for 24 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Southern Maine. She has a husband, Billy, who is a retired coach and educator, and she has two grandchildren. This is her sixth year at PCA.

Shannon Barnard, B.S.
5th/6th Grade Science, Math, and History (6th Grade Homeroom)
Mrs. Shannon Barnard is our fifth/sixth grade teacher and an alumni of the class of 1997. She graduated from Delta State University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She also played basketball, softball, track, and cheerleading for Delta State. She comes to PCA with over 15 years of experience with Southside Christian School and the Vicksburg Warren School District. She is the wife of Chris Barnard and the mother of Chloe (12) and Blake (9).

Jennifer Williams, B.S.
Library/Reading Interventionalist
Mrs. Jennifer Williams is a 21 year veteran of the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Belhaven University. She is married to Mr. Chris Williams, Our Head of School, and they have two children, Brantly and Bridges.

Wyn Pratt, B.S., M.Ed.
Elementary Music
Mrs. Pratt comes to PCA with over 30 years in education. Most recently, she retired as the music teacher at Redwood Elementary in Vicksburg. Mrs. Pratt lives in Vicksburg with her husband, Thad, and children, Sara and Mallory (husband, Jon Hoffman, PCA alum 2014).

Lynn Baker, M.Ed.
Spanish I and Spanish II
Mrs. Baker is a 55 year veteran of the classroom, and she began teaching at PCA in 1997. She holds a B.S. in Education (Spanish) from Mississippi State University, a Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Alcorn State University, and is a graduate of the MAIS Leadership Institute. Her classes consist of Government, Economics, and Spanish I and II.

Laura Bunch, M.A.
7th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Honors Algebra I
Mrs. Bunch will teach 7th Grade Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Honors Algebra I. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Arts in Education from Mississippi College. Mrs. Bunch is married to her husband, Barry, and they have three children: Meghan, Carly, and Sam.

Sandy Clark, B.S.
Physical Science, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Biology, and Human A&P
Mrs. Clark is a 34 year veteran of the classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State, and she has graduate hours from Southern Miss, Alcorn State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. She is certified in Biology, Physical Science, English, Social Studies, and K-8 Special Education.

Mr. Crabtree is a 2014 alumnus of PCA, and he teaches Geometry, Honors Geometry,
Algebra III, English II, and Honors English II. Mr. Crabtree also serves as an Assistant Administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Mississippi College and a Master of Education in Education Leadership from Liberty University. Currently, Mr. Crabtree is pursuing a Doctorate of Education through the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in Christian Leadership/Private School Leadership/Educational Leadership. He also serves as Organist/Music Associate of First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.

Dave Martin, B.S.
English III, 8th Grade History, Mississippi Studies, and Geography
Dave Martin teaches English and History at Porter's Chapel. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi College. Mr. Martin is a retired Coast Guard Chief and is married to Mrs. Carrie Martin. They have two boys, Peyton and Isaac.

Carrie Martin, B.S.
Art and Computer Applications
Carrie Martin teaches Art/Computer Applications at Porter's Chapel. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lake Superior State University. She is married to David Martin, a retired Coast Guard Chief and English teacher at PCA, and they have two boys, Peyton and Isaac.

Vance McGee, B.A., M.S., M.Div.
Junior High Bible, High School Bible, and World History/Cross Country Coach
Mr. McGee holds Bachelor and Master of Arts Degrees form Cal. State University in Fullerton, Master of Arts Degree from Talbot School of Theology, and a Master of Divinity from Cranmer Theological House. He has been teaching for 15 years, and he has been with PCA since 2014. Mr. McGee has two children: Allison and John. Mr. McGee teaches Bible, World Views, and World History.

Health, Physical Education, and 7th Grade History
Mr. Purvis is a 2006 graduate of PCA, and he currently serves as Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Track/Field Coach, and Health Teacher. Mrs. Warren teaches Chemistry I and II, Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, Physics, and Calculus. She also serves as an assistant administrator. She is a graduate from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor and Master Degree in Engineering, and she also holds Administration Certification from Delta State University. She began teaching at PCA in 2001. Her three children are PCA alumni, and she is married to Terry. She has two daughter-in-laws and four granddaughters.

Mrs. Mary Anne Walls will be teaching junior high English this year! She comes to PCA with over 35 1/2 years of service in public school education in Mississippi. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi College, and she has been voted Teacher of the Year twice. She is married to her husband, George Walls, and she has two sons and three grandchildren. Welcome to the Eagle Family, Mrs. Walls!

Pam Wilbanks, M.Ed.
English I, Honors English I, Honors English III, and English IV
Mrs. Pam Wilbanks is a 43 year veteran of the classroom, and she has been a member of the PCA family for 11 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Mississippi State University and a Master of Education from Mississippi State University in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Wilbanks has a husband, Rayford, a son, and two grandchildren.
